Well we have reached the halfway point and what a week it has been! I wanted to take a different approach to Christmas cards using non-traditional colors and a tonal look. Here is what I came up with
The pattern paper is from Anna Griffin, the golden metallic paper is DCWV, ribbon SU, Stamp is CTMH as are the pearls. I cut the snowflake in the same color and sent the base through the cuttlebug using the polka dots folder to add a bit of depth.
A bit of detail ......
I love these pearls!!!! I did finish off the inside and the envelope with a little embossing!
This is also a stamp from CTMH--
Thanks for stopping in, hope your week is going well and only a few shopping days left tell Santa comes to town!

Adding Photos to a Scrapbook Layout with Flip Flaps, Layout from CTMH Magic Book
It's Friday at the start of a three day weekend!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!! Before I get to the layout--I do hope all of you on the coast are out of harms way--as we all watch the weather--let's keep off of those in the path in our thoughts and prayers!
On to the layout-----
This is a double page layout using the Magic Book from CTMH. I plan on this being the 'friends' page in my best friends birthday book--which I must finish this weekend (exactly one year later!)
I put pictures on cause these people will think they are famous now! LOL!
So here is where the wow factor comes into play......
so the 4x6 photos on the right hand side flip out --allowing you to have at least 7 photos on that page with only one needing to be cut down! I used Flip Flap (4x6) and stuck them right to the page protector--HOW EASY! you can layer up a number of flip flaps if you wanted to make a mini book! The flip flaps come in a pack for 4x6 and now new with this idea book, a 12" assortment is available--talk about expanding your page!
I cut the title from the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge at 2", inked the edges and added some bling! I love an easy title!
This layout took just under 45 minutes---and i really think it will be one of the favs when the book is finished! Alright off to enjoy the holiday--be safe and enjoy and we will see you back here on Tuesday!

Magic Book Preview Video
First off I am sorry I do not have a layout for you today--I started working on it and it just needed more time than I had to give today--so I made a preview video of the book. In the CTMH idea book there is not a lot of preview and I think you should see what it has to offer--If I can answer any questions let me know--I swear a project will be posted on Friday!!!!
make it a great one!

'Magic' and Cricut Lite Carousel
Tuesday, one day before the new CTMH idea book goes live on line and I have another 2 page layout from the new Magic book-this is called Levitate and is on pages 40 and 41. I made a few small changes to make it my own!
This one was super easy and you could make it with scraps--I added solid card stock in orange and yellow to show you where the pictures are supposed to go. On the left side there is one 5x7 and one
5x3 1/2 photos, the right side has two 5x7.
I used the Dimensional Elements Stars and just tapped them in my orange and goldrush ink pads--i then added some holographic embossing powder to add some sparkle.
The 'MAGIC' in this layout is adding a spinning element on the out side of your page protector. I used the Dimensional Elements Stars again, my stampin foil for a look to match the paper; I used a fine brush to stipple the stars once the powder was applied. Once I had the foil on I punched a hole using my big bite and added a brad--the brad should go thought the page protector, the stars, and the layout. I did not use a page protector here because of the flair I was getting in photos.
Here is the second spinner--one on the right and one on the left! BALANCE!
For the title I used the name of the place where my best friend had his birthday last year--cut both layers using the Cricut Lite Carousel cartridge--I do HIGHLY recommend that you cut these letters at 2" or larger as the layer is tough due to the thin edges. I sent them through the xyron sticker maker face down and added clear micro beads. I am going to add a small bit of info on the solid blue block--just the facts--date, time, address, etc. I have some work ahead of me--I have been working on this book for a year and his birthday is next week--guess I could get last years party in a book before this years happens--LOL.
I used 1) CTMH Magic Book--release date is Sept 1! Item 9034
2)You Rock Level 2 Paper Pack Item X7122B
3) Dimensional Elements Stare Item Z1312
Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!
