It's Friday at the start of a three day weekend!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!! Before I get to the layout--I do hope all of you on the coast are out of harms way--as we all watch the weather--let's keep off of those in the path in our thoughts and prayers!
On to the layout-----
This is a double page layout using the Magic Book from CTMH. I plan on this being the 'friends' page in my best friends birthday book--which I must finish this weekend (exactly one year later!)
I put pictures on cause these people will think they are famous now! LOL!
So here is where the wow factor comes into play......
so the 4x6 photos on the right hand side flip out --allowing you to have at least 7 photos on that page with only one needing to be cut down! I used Flip Flap (4x6) and stuck them right to the page protector--HOW EASY! you can layer up a number of flip flaps if you wanted to make a mini book! The flip flaps come in a pack for 4x6 and now new with this idea book, a 12" assortment is available--talk about expanding your page!
I cut the title from the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge at 2", inked the edges and added some bling! I love an easy title!
This layout took just under 45 minutes---and i really think it will be one of the favs when the book is finished! Alright off to enjoy the holiday--be safe and enjoy and we will see you back here on Tuesday!

Bee Hive Card using Cricut Sentimentals Cartridge
One day closer to the weekend!!!!! Today I have a card that I made using my cuttlebug to cut rather than emboss.

I found a great deal on a die at Oh My Crafts for next to nothing and thought it would be perfect for this group of projects. I sent them through the sticker maker to make it easier to attach to the card base.

I cut the bee hive from the Cricut Sentimentals Cartridge. I cut the shadow in a rich orange color and sent it through the cuttlebug to add texture. I cut the base base cut in a scrap of brown shimmer card stock which I think adds a little bling but not to much!

I added a strip of ripped kraft card stock along the base to allow for a grounding layer. I used some deep brown ribbon and the same CTHM stamp set I used yesterday. As I looked at the finished card, or what I thought was finished, i thought there was something missing--and I decided that it was the buzz lines that were missing--used a brown marker to add them in!
I have been making a lot of cards lately and this has to be one of my top 10. It's not perfect but it is unique!
I have a great two page layout to share with you to round out the week. Don't forget to check out Everyday Cricut this saturday for some great Father's Day treats!
