Super Simple Card and "Budget Friendly Buys" Video

Tuesday is here and I am on a plane to Chicago to meet with a customer--up and back in the same day is a killer trip but I have to finish my projects for this weekend on Everyday Cricut--LOL!
Today I have a super simple card and a fun little video which I hope you will enjoy!
First the card-


This card took 10 Minutes to make! I used a sheet of navy card stock I had on hand and cut the printed stripe paper to fit. I inked the edges and applyed to the card face with my ATG gun. I then used the Fillable Frames #1 stamp set and die from Papertrey Ink and some Ranger ink to stamp and cut the center sentiment. To jazz up the bottom, I used a Fiskers edge punch along the bottom. This was a last minute add--when this happens I mark the center of my card so I can line it up with the center of my punch, make my first punch here and work my way to the edge. This help keep the sides even (looks like my measurements were just a smidge off--goes to show no one is perfect!) A card like this is perfect when your in a pinch or a masive time curnch!

Happy Easter using Cricut Easter, Cricut Songbird

Well if you have not noticed, I have jumped into card making head first! I promise After April you will see lots more layout! Between work, preparing for this massive trip, and a few other special projects time is SUPER LIMITED!
In regards to cards, I like a good mix of fancy fold and the simple standard half fold. Today is a fancy fold--this is my first attempt at this type of card and I think it came out perfect for one of my nieces!

The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye and I used Core'dinations for the solids. I left the two middle sections untouched to help balance it out and leave me a place to write a little note.

I am pretty new to stamping as well--used a Michale's $1.00 special holiday stamp for this one and added some pink pearls to really make it girly! Here is a detail

I think she is going to like it!

Happy Monday! This weekend was jammed full of prep work for my upcoming trip to Asia for work. More on that in the coming weeks!
Today's card is super simple and very inexpensive to make! Total cost was 1.00 since I used paper I already had I only purchased these very cute chipboard sticker letters at Target--total 1.07 with tax! I love a deal.

The base color is one that is a shadow color in the printed paper as is the yellow base of the letters--I used a Fiskers punch to create the layered border. The fist layer is a blue accent, then the pattern paper is from a basic grey stack I purchased at Michael's (I used the photo mat stack) then Layered in the base color again. The card is a standard 6 1/2 by 4 1/4. Inked all the edges and called it good!


On the inside I used a strip of the patterned paper on the bottom and cut a Top Note shape from Song Bird Cricut Cartridge(cut in standard and in shadow)--here I stamped 'congratulations' in a burnt brown and added bling in the same golden color around the words, inked the edges! used my ATG gun to stick it all down. It was that simple.
