Hong Kong

First stop on this trip was Hong Kong!  One of the things I love about Hong Kong is this wonderful lady and her daughter that I met years ago through a dear friend that make custom jewelry! She has a shop near the Jade market and a stall there as well.  My mother has many items from her as do my sister, aunt, and nieces!
This is them hard at work on a couple pcs for me--which I love!!!
This is just a sampling of stones that she has--all sorts!  Natural, crystal, Pearl....you name it she has it
You can also buy by the strand--so you can design and string your own creation!!

Today's blog candy is a beautiful necklace from Virgina that is onyx and shell!  Everyone I have given one to has loved it!  so leave those comments for your chance to win!

Pink By Design Team Day!

It's Friday!!!!!  I am so excited to be flying home--I had a great visit to Charlotte but boy oh boy do I want my own bed!!  Well today is the Design Team Day at Pink By Design and Sarah has some very cool new releases coming--I would have used them but was not home all week to recv them so I will use them next week so you all can see a couple projects. This weeks challenge was a gift bag!

I used the Hoppy Easter stamp set, Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge, a 60 cent gift bag with ribbon handles, We R Memory Makers Paper (pattern and solid), and some Easter basket grass I got from Michael's.
I used some Mica pink card stock for a bit of a glimmer bunny and I cut the grass myself by cutting random slices out of a strip of green paper. Of course I had to ink the edges.

I love this stamp--it would also be perfect for an Easter card or even Easter fortune eggs!
Check out the Pink Cricut's blog for all the other great projects.
Have a great weekend!

Good Times Layout using CTMH Lucky Workshop On The Go

It's Thursday--let the count down to the weekend!
Today I have a great layout to share using the Lucky Workshop on the Go
The font is Cricut Billionaire again--can't get enough of this font--so easy to use and again welds very nicely!  All the papers are from the kit as is the hemp and wooden buttons.
I added some CTMH blue gems to the letters for a little pop of bling and color.
These wooden buttons are one of my most fav things in the idea book--I order a bag each month when I place my club orders!  Hoarder much!

The layout is super simple but looks great when finished.
I stamped and heat embossed the brackets then cut them out.  I stamped the ticket three times (set in the idea book) and edged them in outdoor denim.  I also pop dotted the center ticket--this way you can keep track of the date of the event.  As JJ from good times would say this layout turned out to be  "DYNO-MITE."  Make it a great one!

Hi there card using CTMH Lucky Workshop on the Go

Hi everyone--In Charlotte on business.  I just love this city.
Today I have a really simple card using the Lucky Workshop.
I just love the stamp set that is exclusive to the kit!
I did another 6x6 format here.  I heat embossed the brackets and cut the HI from the Cricut Billionaire cartridge.  One of the best fonts out there and it welds like a dream if you needed to.  I added some inking and a few orange gems (I had to dig them out the Halloween bin)
The inside is just as important so a strip of pattern paper and a nice inked edge goes a long way
I have a layout for you on Thursday and Friday is the Pink by Design release of the new stamps so you will have to check out the projects the design team has come up with!
Make it a great one

Enjoy Life card using CTMH Lucky Workshop on the Go

Hello everyone--boy Monday was off to a fast start and today is not looking any slower!  I am headed out of town again today and I just want to be home for a few weeks!  LOL
This fun card was made using the CTMH workshop on the Go called LUCKY--
All items used are Close To My Heart
I used the kraft color paper for the 6x6 card base.  I really love how this one turned out!
The wooden buttons are one of my new fav embellishments and they come in many sizes and shades in one nice pack!

I heat embossed the sentiment stamp and the little guy on the bike.  I also used my edge rougher to give the outdoor denim paper a bit of tooth around the edge.
Of course I did the inside as well--no embossing here but a nice stamp and inked edges.
Thanks for stopping in today! Make sure to come on by on Wednesday for another fun project using this great kit.
Make it a great one-
