Guess what I got......New CTMH Idea books and............

Hey everyone--Wednesday was a good mail day!! I got all my new Fall CTMH idea books!
I have been madly addressing envelopes and check off my list so these will go to the post office on Saturday!  (since I am on yet another business trip)

I also go a great box of new goodies from my Mom for my birthday.  If you didn't know my mom is a SU rep and although I LOVE CTMH stamps and inks--I have to admit that SU has some great paper designs--and yall know I am a paper junkie!

8 paper packs, 5 spools of ribbon, 2 embossing folders, 2 stamp sets, and a thing of buttons and brads.--oh and a sizzlet embossing die!  Talk about a birthday haul!   You can see in the picture that I have already opened the paper to see all the different patterns.  the Halloween set is very cute as is the well worn (very basic greyish)

BTW  have you all checked out all the new releases from CHA.  I have already ordered a number of new papers (like I needed more) from stopandscrap.com--I order from them A LOT and have never had any issues--they not only show you the collections but they show you sheet by sheet plus all the available embellishments--most of it is preorder but worth it when you do not have a LSS in your city cause the big box stores simply do not carry the assortment.  I am in love with the new My Minds Eye Lost and Found additions--there is a yellow collection that I bought without thinking twice as well as the Lost and Found Christmas!!!  Simply Beautiful!!!!!

Create.Preserve.Remember........................

Hello everyone--wow what a weekend!  I am so excited about all the new CTMH stuff (not to mention the new exclusive cricut cartridge!) and have a bunch of new stuff coming to show you all what the excitement is all about.

Before I forget again!!!! I want to share with you about an amazing store in Springfield MO.  Scrapbook Generation is a wonder place--the assortment was killer, the store it self was a pleasure to shop and scrapbook royalty create and inspire there all the time.  Allison Davis (who is amazing) and Debbie Sanders have created on of the best store I have been in.  It ranks in my all time top 5!

Not only is the assortment going to blow your mind--they have also paired up to create some amazing kit clubs and a line of scrapbook and card sketch books!  Who doesn't need some help from time to time.  I have a number of them already and they just released a whole book for single page layouts (guess what is in my shopping cart now!)

The offer classes and mega crops that sell out every time.  These two ladies love paper crafting and love sharing their passion with others--which makes it so much more fun to shop.

Head on over and take a look--your going to like it as much as I did!  Click here to go to Scrapbook Generation!

That means even more specials and fun along the way.  This club will be limited to 5 members each club and I will only do two clubs.  This club starts  in August and runs through Jan. Elegant Sympathy Card using Pink By Design Background Stamps

Happy Thursday everyone--sorry I missed you yesterday.  I am on, yet another, business trip and find myself back in NYC this week after a couple of days in Charlotte.  So sometime my best laid plans are well--just laid and not checked on my done list!
Today's card may look familiar cause I did one similar to this about 8 months ago using just DCVW paper.  This time I used a background stamp with embossing to really take the card to the next level!
The background stamp is Roses by Pink by Design.  This is stamp (so do all of the ones I own) was perfect right off the bat.  I used versa mark ink and fine detail powder.  Hint: heat until it becomes very shiny--if you heat until dull it will stay that way--when you go all the way to shin you get an AMAZING finish.
Here is a detail of the stamp--I love all the minor details that you get--the shadow lines the clean overlaps.  And the fact that this (as all of the PBD background stamps) is a tiled stamp--meaning you can line them up perfectly and get a true all over stamped background page--working on a video to show you all how this works.
So y'all know that my cuttlebug is one of my all time fav tools in my scrap room and this folder from SU is awesome--you can use the whole thing or cut out the big flower like I did here. By taking a very sharp pair of scissors (the smaller the better) and going around the embossed pattern you get this amazing big embellishment.  I took some chalk in and added some to the edges and over the embossed area to give it some depth.
This lovely sentiment is from the PBD Sympathy set.  It is perfect for all those hard to make and hard to send cards that mean so much in such a hard time.  I stamped it on pattern paper (the same used for the flower) after I punched this banner out with my Fiskers punch.  I added two mocha pearls from CTMH to give it an anchor.
Anytime I have to send a card like this, I make it!  For some reason the fact that I take the time to do this very small but personal thing--means so much to the one the card is sent to.
Make it a great one and I will be back in Dallas tonight and will have a very cool item to share with all of you scrappers, want to bes, wish ya were's, and the like that will give you ammo in your crafting gun when you need it the most!
