OK--today I have a tip. I saw this at the show this weekend at a booth that sold custom name books which was super cool all on it's own--but when they showed this technique on how to finish the edges of chip board--I was SOLD!
Check out this super short video--you will be on line today placing an order for these pens!
I did a little research online and found the deco paint marker with chisel point at markersupply.com. The price is right as well--$2.59 a color! 28 colors to pick from! OMG a crafters must have. You can also find them at Michael's in the raw wood section. Be careful when you start the paint flow as it starts to flow very quickly.
Have a great day-

ReplyDeleteI have done that before...not with those markers but regular markers. It does gives the chipboard a nice finish.
ReplyDeleteKuddos to you for sharing it ...i just forgot about it--- LOL

ReplyDeleteHugs!
Thanks for that tip, sometimes I want to do something with the edges and inking with a pad just doesn't work. This is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI have looked at these many times and now I am sold!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try it - just bought a mini album for a trip and now it will look great! Thanks, Bryan. Also can't wait to see all your new paper. I, too, cannot buy enough paper!
ReplyDeleteI have a red one, but don't do too much with chipboard. Maybe I will now that I saw this tip.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

These look wonderful...I don't use much chipboard for the simple fact they need to be finished and now these markers make it more appealing! TFS!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing something you learned Bryan!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used chipboard, but am excited about this idea. I'll get brave and do a chipboard project. Thanks Bryan I think your great. I look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a simple solution. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for sharing Bryan
ReplyDeleteI have used this trick for quite a while. I find that I should do it BEFORE I finish the chip board as I sometimes skip off the edge and mark into the center of the piece. That would pose quite a problem if the piece was already covered with my paper. Thanks for sharing you shopping fun with us Bryan!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done anything with chipboard, but might check these pens out at Michael's. Thanks for the wonderful tip! Does seem so easy!
ReplyDeletegood idea. thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I'll probably find a cheaper version and use that. TFS
