Pink By Design: Design Team Day

It's that time again for the Pink By Design Sentiment team to give y'all some great ideas.  Check out the Pink Cricut for all the wonderful projects.  Tonight, Friday April 1 there is also a Ustream event--make sure to check it out--you will get to see all the new AMAZING stamps!!!

Here is my project
My tag was cut with the cricut, inked around the edges, seam tape for the tie.  I used the treasure chest stamp and embossed it on kraft with bronze powder and colored in the areas with my CTMH markers.

For my sentiment I stamped it on a light khaki color and then used a lighter to burn the edges--making it feel a bit old world and swashbuckling like!
I love these two sets--one shaped and one sentiment and they have started baking a whole lot of fun ideas in my crazy brain.
Make it a great one-

Last day and a card

Tonight is my last night overseas--my suitcases are packed and super heavy (it's going to cost me!)
Here is a card I made before I left

My sister's birthday is next week and I made this little number for her.  Simple Clean yet pretty and cute--and a little bling goes a long way when places in just the right place!!
Stamp is from CTMH and the paper is from a bit from my scrap bucket and my handy fiskers punch comes in handy again.

Trying it out---not sure it worked

Greetings from Barcelona Spain.  Weather here is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I went to the Picasso museum and had to wait in line for over an hour!  It was crazy busy but soooo worth it.
OK so I thought I would test out my theory that heat embossing works on every project-esp if the clear  powder is used.  I used some My Minds Eye paper and some Doodlebug Ribbon, my spellbinders and of course some CTMH stamps!
I have to say the flash has helped out the embossing but I sort of like the results.

A close up of my home made ribbon embellishment.  My tiny stapler from Tim Holtz and a few sticky dots work wonders!
I finished off the inside with a bit of paper and inked edges.
I had to make the envelope nice as well--here I used a fiskers edge punch and some ink.  Nothing fancy just enough to make it pretty!
See ya back here on Wednesday--I will be in London and packing to return home but I made a project before I left so not to leave  you all high and dry.  LOL.
Make it a great one
