Modern technology- can't live with it can't live with out! Thank heavens for my iPhone and mobil blogger!

Quick and easy layout!

Here is a super easy and super fast layout! I have been holding off scrapping this one since June--not sure what I was waiting for as it only took less than 30 minutes start to finish and that includes making the video--
I am leaving for CHA on Friday and will be posting from the show videos and pictures so make sure to check back over the weekend--I am really looking forward to meeting some of the wonderful folks I have come to know and be inspired by as well as getting my hands on some new stuff--so expect a haul video for sure!

BONUS POST--so far this week I have posted one paper craft item a day--today is bonus Wednesday! I have been asked to show my personalized embossing folder--well here is the first one and a crap paper to show what it looks like after being sent through the cuddle bug--
Two bits of advice 1) clean letters are best--think street signs cartridge---the fewer parts the better! 2) run a few test cuts before hand--i did mine with the gypsy and my second one came out better but I really like the Don Juan cartridge!!
Thanks for stopping in!

20 in 20

I am so excited! I hit 20 followers today--and I have only had a blog for 20 days! I never expected for people to follow I was just doing it as a way to keep me creative and push me to do more--and you all have---I am always thinking of new things that I can share--you all inspire me so thanks for following!!!

Cupcake layout

So this is the layout I did using the cupcake embellishment from yesterday.

The layout if part of a birthday book I am doing for my best friend who is pictured here--needless to say I am running a bit behind since his birthday was in September--LOL

Some of the details-

The background paper is from Recollections and is a rainbow stripe. I cut 5 strips of 30's from Designers Calender for the shiny black layer--I used acid free spray mount to attach these strips which made it super easy to lay it out. The picture frame is from the seasonal mothers day cartridge and the happy birthday present is from Lyrical Letters. Both the frame and the happy birthday were cut using a two color double sided paper. I attached the bow to the happy birthday with a foam square and added a 'stud' accent to the center of the bow. The statement at the bottom of the picture reads "welcome to your 30's-Sept 2009"

Hope you like the lay out and how the cupcake was put to use!

Come back on Thursday to see how I take a card I found while in Asia and use it in a layout for an "all about me" book.

Cupcake Embellishment

Here is ther first part of a two part layout project--these cupcakes are easy to make and are really cute!
Besure to come back on Wednesday to see the finished layout!
Enjoy-

Hi everyone--its Monday and i have a pretty easy Valentines Day treat bag--and the best part of this project is all the supplies (except candy) came from one place and the total for the project including candy was $15 dollars and makes 18 bags!
For the white tag with glitter lips I cut a tag from sweet treats (tags key 28) at 3" and rounded my corners with the 1/2" option on my corner chopper. I then used versamark ink and stamped the lips and used red glitter embossing powder--the stamp was $1 and the embossing powder was $4. I stamped and heated 5 tags at one time. I took ribbon (came three spools per pack for $1 each) and cut it into 6" strips. Taking 3 strips (2 printed with lips and one pink printed ribbon placed in the middle) I tied them through the hole in a knot and spread them out.
The red header is 8" long and 5 1/4" wide which I used my paper cutter to band out 18 of them. Once cut I used my Martha Stewart Scouring Board to score each red pc at 4" and folded in half. After the initial prep work I sent each through the cuddlebug and used the conversations folder from the HSN bundle; this adds texture and I just really like this folder!
To put it all together--I cut the bad down about 4 inches before putting anything in the bag. I added about 30 chocolate kisses folded a red header over the top and used two red staples to secure it to the bag. I pulled out my pop dots and placed three on the back of each tag, centered on the red headed and stuck it down. So this Valentine was sealed with a KISS!!!

Thanks for stopping by and come back on Tuesday for the first part of a two part post!

OMC and Michael's Haul--count to CHA

It's Sunday Funday and I am starting the Countdown to CHA! Each day this week I will be posting either a project or a video. To day is a haul video! I needed this stuff like I needed a hole in the head but to late now!
At the end of the video is a teaser for a quick and easy project I am going to upload on Monday--this could be great to share in the office, with friends, or even a classroom! The project is under $15.00 and way cooler than any box card you can buy at Walgreens or Target! LOL--
Thanks for stopping by!
