Happy Friday!!!!! Boy what a week it has been--I have to admit that I am toying with the idea of the cricut circle! Should I or shouldn't I????
Guess you will have to wait till Monday to find out! BTW anyone going to the scrapbook show in Kansas City on Oct 8 and 9? Let me know cause I will be there!!!!
I love getting emails from you all and I got the best one yet this week. Cathy, a loyal follower, has taken the exploding box I showed a while back and made an amazing card/gift for her grandson's FIRST birthday. She has been making a card each month this year and then collecting a picture with her grandson in it with the card--well she used all those pictures to make this! AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I love love love the ribbon she made out of paper so it matched perfectly!
Look at how cute he is! I just love how Cathy make the box look--with animals and nature. She used the yellow ribbon to just hold the layer up so we could all see the creativity she poured into this project.
Here is the second layer! Cuter than the first!!!! but wait--the center is so cool!!!!
I love the one candle!! Happy Birthday Ryan!!!!
A big thank you to Cathy for sharing this with me and allowing me to share it with all of you.
I know you all love this too--so show Cathy the love by leaving comments.
Hope you all have a great weekend! See you back here bright and early Monday morning!

Embossed Birthday Card.....
So here is a very easy birthday card that has a great pop added by heat embossing
Notice the envelope has a little extra pizazz as well!
close up of the embossing done with Versa Mark ink pad and rainbow clear powder
close up of the layers and the inking
don't forget the inside--a stamp and a little bling go a very long way!!!!
Ok--onto what is really on my mind--who bought what off HSN on Tuesday!!! I did make a few purchases but kept the wallet on lock down! LOL--let me know in your comments
Make it a great one

Last of the Birthday Scrapbook.......
Wednesday is here and boy can the weekend not get here soon enough!
Today we are wrapping up the Birthday Scrapbook
Not every page has to have a title or journal spots--instead of a title here I did some cuttlebug embossing and sanding
and a birthday is not a birthday with out some
I accented the letters with metal gems--you could do the same with brads
I also was able to hide a cd of pictures in the layout--Another Magic trick from the new CTMH book!
Since he was 30, and we were all leagal--we had cake and drinks instead of ice cream.....LOL
I added a little journal spot and punched the top to make it look like it was ripped out of a notebook!
At some point Elvis always has to leave the building-----
Make it a great one

Three more Scrapbook Layouts from the Birthday Book......
Today I have three more layouts from my best friends birthday book.
Here is a layout that I shared from the Magic book but I added the pictures and a little journaling down the right side.--that is me in the green polo on the top of the right hand page (the only picture of me in the entire book!)
This layout is from CHA in January where I found this awesome double adhesive sheets that could be cut with the cricut--very similar to the red line tape--I think I am going to have to use this on some upcoming holiday projects!
Since my best friend believes life is his stage--this one is called just Abe--like just jack from will and grace
for the title I used Don Juan (got to love that font) with base and shadow--I sent the base through the xyron and added tonal glitter--I really like the faint edge to the shadow!
Today I have a jammed filled day--and tonight I have to ship the first orders for my CTMH club! So much to do---I will be sharing the rest of the book on Wednesday, a card for Thursday, and for Friday Funday I am going to share an amazing project one of my followers did after seeing a post on my blog--it is so cool and she did such a good job--I am so glad she agreed to let me show it to you all--So make sure you check back--now I am off for a morning nap after staying up so late to see the launch on HSN! (just kidding off to work I go).
Make it a great one!

Monday, Monday (ba da ba ba da ba)!!!
Don't you just love some Mamas and the Papas--I may be young but I had parents (mostly my father) who listened to oldies in the car my ENTIRE childhood--so I am well versed! LOL.
Alright on to the birthday book handover!
So here he is with his custom birthday book--one year to the day from the last birthday party! No one said I was quick--just creative. We all met for dinner at the best Mexican place in Dallas and then off to Family Karaoke! All of us had a privet room so we could sing as bad as we wanted and not embarrass ourselves or cause any pain to other ears. I have found my inner love for a microphone and making smart comments--have I missed my called????
Here is the opening page--I still think the cupcake is AWESOME!!! Here is a link to how I did it!
Here is the layout complete with pictures that I made using the new CTMH Magic book
The next page turned out very bright and perfect for a birthday party--I used some basic grey patterned paper and CTMH solid card stock!
I used some of the CTMH 4x6 flip flaps to add 8 pictures to a layout what would only have four otherwise! These flip flaps were a wow at the party--people thought they were super cool--and for only $3.95 a small investment for a BIG impact!
I used this pre-made embellishment that I got at Hobby Lobby on sale for $1.50 to add some bling to the page.
I added a few silver brads to the right page as well.--it is amazing how a few simple brads add pop to a page--I used my BIG BITE to punch the holes. I buy these brads in bulk as I use them all the time--just google bulk brads and you will get tons of places to buy them--these are just the normal sized ones.
Over the next week I will be showing you all the pages as well as a simple birthday card so keep checking back so you don't miss anything.
Make it a great one!
