Siple card and a give away

Happy Thursday--so glad the week is almost over. It seems I have I have been on the road and in big meetings for the past month for work but all have paid off with some great new business and strong existing sales. Got to love when business is good.
Today I have a simple birthday card to share.

The paper was scraps that I combined with a large store bought accessory. Took only minutes but supplied a last minute card with some punch.  I also added texture with an embossing folder and my cuttlebug.

On to the give away. Sarah and Kyle at Pink By Design are super awesome people and have been kind enough to give me an opportunity to do a give away. Here is how this will work. Be a follower and Leave a comment here and over at the PBD blog (here is a link) and you will have double the chances to win a $25 gift card to the PBD store to pick up some pre holiday goodies. I will announce the winner on Friday so this is a one day give away--so leave the comments and come back to see if you are the winner!

I'd like to see more guy cards. I recently sold cards at my church's bake sale, and the one thing I was told was that there needs to be more options for guy cards. I have NO clue what to do with that!

Winner #2

I love the simplicity of this card, although the faux stitching really sets it apart from any other simple card! Very nice!

I agree with others and more layouts. Alot of blogs lately have been focusing on cards which are great but layouts are what I started paper crafting with and I'd like to get back to that. Love all your posts anyhow. Especially all the pictures of your travels. Wish i was as lucky to travel the world like you! Keep up the good work! JenBrierley2 at gmail dot com

Please email me your address to scrapguyblog@yahoo.com!   Please put PBD winner in the subject line.  You each have 2 weeks to reply of the prizes go back into the prize pool.

OK some updates.  I have been working on some things for my blog and I have some exciting changes coming in 2012.  A face lift (no botex..) some new features, and LOTS of Candy to be given away--

I have read all your comments and hear that you want more layouts!  Well I will admit that cards take a whole lot less time but I will make sure to have more layouts and make cards more of a secondary feature in the new year.  Can you believe that it is almost Thanksgiving!  I bought my turkey this weekend and have no clue what stuffing I want to make--any suggestions would be a huge help--was thinking oyster or sausage--but I need to find just the right one--I know yall will come to my resuce.

Make it a great one-

Clear & Simple Stamps

Clear and Simple Stamps is a very cool new clear stamp company based in Gaithersburg Maryland. The company was started as a collaborative effort by a mother-daughter team. As they like to say, "We specialize in taking something simple and turning it into something fabulous!" That they do. Their designs are fresh, fun, and flirty! Fonts, shapes, flirty ladies, and backgrounds are all included in the collection. Not only do they offer a full line of clear stamps and blocks, but have added accessories that perfectly match in color and freshness.
The design team is AMAZING and so nice! I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with a few of the designers and one of the owners, Ewunike Jackson at the CHA show. The projects on display in the booth can also be seen in the gallery on their website. Here are just a few examples that I really liked:

I really love the popcorn and bubblegum sets pictured here

Clear & Simple is also going to have the first iPhone app that is directed at paper crafters! That is right your going to be able to see updates and order product right from your phone. Talk about having creativity at your finger tips!

Today's blog candy is a sampling of products that include a mini stamp set, block, bag of buttons (lots of great shapes), ribbon, a Clear & Simple T-Shirt, and a great little tote bag! Make sure to leave your comment and check out the web site by clicking the link at the top of this post. When you order let them know you heard about them here at scrapguy! I am going to be using these stamps in a demo of another MUST HAVE product on Wednesday so come back and see a new way to add bling to your creations!

Home sweet home!!! After a wild and crazy weekend at the CHA Craft SuperShow--I am home in Dallas--tired but inspired!!! The show was smaller than I thought it was going to be but that did not stop me from finding some AMAZING new things (at least new to me). I went with one 34 pound suitcase and came home with a 55 pound suit case, a 34 pound duffel bag my original carry one and a fairly large bag of things that would simply no fit!
I met some wonderful ladies from the Cricut Message Board and a few 'celebrities' to all of us scrappers and card makers, made a few new friends (joy, Melanie, Tammy, PJ {lol}, Megan), and had more fun than I really should have packed into two days! SO...........................to let you all who were not able to go this weekend, I am going to share some of the cool products and awesome new companies. I will demo where possible with videos and will make sure you have all the info you need to go find the products for yourself is you like them (and I have a feeling you all are going to REALLY like them)

That's not all--there will be blog candy every day this week! THAT'S RIGHT---EVERYDAY THIS WEEK!!!!!

There is going to be one grand prize drawn at random on Saturday from all the comments posted this week. The prize will have some of the products from this week and a few other surprises--I will post a picture of the grand prize on Monday here on the blog so make sure you come back.

For each Feature there will be a small give away so someone else can see how cool these products are up close and personal. Again, to win the daily blog candy all you have to do is leave a comment. All prizes will be announced at one time a week from today--in total there will be 6 blog candies this week. You don't have to be a follower but I would really appreciate it if you did! I have some really cool projects coming up and I will do my best to not disappoint!
Can't wait to share!!!
