Gate Fold Card using Cricut Lite Lacy Labels!

So today is my last card in this challenge of using only two sheets of pattern paper.  I really love this one!
This is a gate fold card.  the center cut is from Cricut Lacy Labels.  I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder to emboss the base, added pearls to the frame, and glittered the word using my xyron sticker maker (I love that thing!)
I finished the inside as well
I layered a couple of shades of purple and used a CTMH stamp with versa mark and clear embossing powder--here is how it turned out
This was  a really fun challenge--two sheets of paper a spool of ribbon and a bunch of stuff I already had--6 cards for less than $5!
Hope you enjoyed this week and all the cards! Have a great weekend, see you on Monday!

Friday Funday.........using Cricut Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Cartridge

It's Friday Funday!!!!!  As you know I love Friday's--and this one is no different
Today's card is really made from the scraps--really the small bits left over--even those can make simple, elegant, and useful note cards.
Here is used the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Cartridge again--added those purple pearls, and inked the edges.
The inside is simple and leave plenty of space to write-

So next week I have a NFL Hall of Fame recap for you all, and I will be coming to you live--well sort of--from Las Vegas!  This week a number of you all have asked if I craft on the road--yes and no!  If I know I am going out of town for some time I will work ahead--but I do travel with my gypsy at all times and if I am going to be in NYC for a week or so--I take some page kits I made so I can at least get my crafty fix with out all the planning and extra paper!  When I travel I tend to do a simpler take, clean, not a lot of inking or one color on everything, and kits--kits can be great if you have limited space and still want the fix.  I have found that the Club SEI, Close to My Hear Workshop On the Go's. and the SEI album kits that are 8x8 in size are great!  Just because the layout is done does not mean you can not put your own spin on it--like when I did that album in NYC--I used the kit as the base and added my touch to it!.
I also got notice today that my order of a bunch of brand new items from Close to My Heart is on it's way--I can not wait to show you all some of the amazing papers and super cool new must haves!
Have a great weekend--and remember that I have one more card to show and it is a looker (if I do say so myself) on Saturday--so be sure to stop by when your having your Saturday morning catch up!
Make it a great one-

Day Four...card using Cricut Marth Stweart Elegant Cake Cartridge

Thursday---we made it over the hump.  Todays card is another super simple note card!!! I love simple cards!
I used the same papers--but used solid for the accents.  I cut the shadow in dark pruple and the detail cut in a lighter shade--I pressed the detail cut on my versamark pad and used some clear embossing poweder and my heat gun to give it a great look that accents the pearls.
Here is the inside-
Total time--6 minutes that inclused cutting and embossing!  total cost--less than $1.  That is music to my ears.  Friday Funday is coming up fast--going to share a card made from the scraps and on Saturday I have a recap with paper info as well as the most involved card of the week---a fun fold with a great look!
Have a great day!

Day 3..Card using Cricut Summer in Paris

Well half way through the week and still truckin--
I have another card to share today--I simply love this card!
this is a long card--used the same papers, ribbon, and purple pearls.   I cut the tower from Cricut Summer in Paris (this is the shadow).  I then stamped it with versamark and a background stamp, used clear embossing powder and heated it up--
for the sentiment I just used a scrap and stamped Merci with some CTMH ink in deep purple, I rounded the corners and placed it like a tab--of course I inked all the edges! LOL
Took a different approach to the inside.  I still finished it off but by placing the square pattern on the lighter ground it give it a more modern look.
The card for Thursday is super simple but packs a punch!  Until then

Card #2 using Cricut Marth Stewart Elegant Cakes

So we have card #2 today--
I really like this one
The square card is simple--done in two layers with a little ribbon and a couple of pearls.  I love this damask from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes Cartridge

On the inside I used a strip of patter paper that I used a Stampin' up border punch on and there is still plenty of space to write a note-
On Wednesday I am going to share my second favorite card from this group--
Make it a great one-

Manic Monday---

This is going to be a crazy Monday--leaving Akron/Canton Ohio this morning driving to Columbus flying to Dallas, than going to the American Idol Concert tonight!  The NFL Hall of Fame was great--I took about 600 pictures (some are just awful but most are great) and I will be pulling those together to share with you next week--Dallas won so it was worth staying for!  On to the Card-
I challenged myself to see how many cards I could make from just two 12x12 sheets of pattern paper and supplies I already had--I made 6 cards (one a day this week) at a cost of less than $5.
This card is a simple A2 and I cut the top note from Cricut Lite Lacy Labels.  I used a stamp and some embossing powder for the sentiment--Life is better when it's fun!  That is so true.
I used the back side of the pattern paper which was a distressed solid and a Martha Stewart edge punch to create the trim and some deep purple gross grain ribbon (2.50 at Michael's).  A couple of purple pearls really help set it off.  I also used them on the inside to tie the total look together-
I love a fully furnished card--and the pearls on the inside make it very special. Like I said I have a card a day this week so stop in each day to check out the next creation--I promise no two look alike--so enjoy.
Make it a great one
