The EYES have it

Well it looks like we all survived another halloween--I had to fly to NYC so there was not tricks or treats for me!  For each of the major holidays I like to make my staff a goodie bag so this year is was all about EYES for Halloween.
As you can see my scrap room is almost ready to show but at least I can start creating-been on withdraw cause I have not been able to play with paper and my ATG gun!
Here is a close up. I used basic black and white cardstock from CTMH.  The ziplock bags are from Michaels.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design and the Eye is a stamp I found in KC when I was there in early September.  The eyeball gumballs were from Target!
So for the eye; I used versa mark ink and black CTMH embossing powder for the base.  I used CTMH markers to color the center of the eye and for the red bits I just colored over the embossing.

The sentiment is from Pink By Desing Ghostly Greetings stamp set and stamped with Daisy White ink from CTMH.
Needless to say they were a hit at the office on Monday--
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great one-

Eyes a plenty card using Cricut Boys will be Boys Cartridge.

It's Friday and due to some time change difficulties we were down one post this week.  I am going to make it up to you and allow every comment that has been posted thru Thursday at 12pm PST will be a double chance--so if you left 3 you will have a total of 6 plus today!
I love this card even through it is sort of creepy with all the eyes
The jar is from Boys will be Boys--it's a big jar!  I thought this was funny---the eyes are stickers I found at Michael's--I used two packs on this standard A2 card.
Here is a close up!  I used one of the older cuttlebug folders on this and some jagged edged scissors--can't rip paper to save my life for scissors work just fine!
I used some fuzzy ribbon and the bottom half is just orange textured cardstock.
Here is the inside--I used a stamp from Martha Stewart (found at Michael's in a set) and some green bing to add the fun, and just two bits of the same paper used on the front--what a fun thank you card for a host or hostess of the Halloween party you may be attending!
From Jolly Ol England--Cheers!

Trick or Treat Card using Cricut Pumpkin Carving Mini

Helloooooooo!  Good Morning--the week is of to a busy start and I have not a minute to spare.  I want to share a cute card and a trip up date so on to the card!
So I wanted to so something simple, fun, and colorful--not black and orange for Halloween!  To I cut an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of bright yellow card stock in half for two cards (guess what is coming later in the week). The ribbon is from my mom's stash (which is not half bad!!), The Cut is from Pumpkin Carving Mini Cart.  I cut the brown and then layered the orange under and trimmed to fit.  I found some Halloween colored brads at Michael's and these happen to be a tan with orange stripe.  I used pop dots to give the sentiment a lift!
Here is a close up where you can see I took a scrap and finished the inside of the card as well as a better look at the brad and ribbon (extreme closeup!)

Trip Update----
Had a great time and got some good picture of my nieces and nephew.  They grow so fast!  We have a teenager coming this year and it seems like a few months ago she was starting school--time really flies.
I spent time with my mom and niece at the CK scrapbook show (not a total bust but our show here is Dallas is WAY better).
Got to see and play with my Brother's kids for a bit as well--we packed as much as we could into the few days I was there.

Ittsy Bittsy Spider Halloween Card

It's Friday and I am on my way to Kansas City--Looking forward to some family time and some crafting with my niece, a visit to my favorite scrap store (the scrapbook page in Shawnee), and just being home!
Today's card was a lot of fun to make--here is the break down
-card base (black) was is Close to My Heart
-Patter paper (double sided/used both sides) My Mind's Eye Blackbird "big dots"
-cream rectangle was colonial white from Close to My Heart
-3D wooden spider from Michael's
-EEEEK stamp is Martha Stewart
-Black embossing powder Close to My Heart
-Inside sentiment stamp by Basic Grey

The wooden spider was attached with a penny and pop dots so it spins!!!!
I added some black fake stitching around the edge of the cream rectangle.  I love how embossing turns out!
I used the Martha Stewart web border punch and some white chalk ink to trim the front base of the card.

I love this stamp by Basic Grey--the font and flourish are simply perfect!
Check back on Sunday for the bolg candy--you are going to want this limited stamp set for all your halloween projects!!!!
Have a great one-

Trick or Treat Bucket using Cricut Oct 31st Mini and MS Seasonal Cake Cartridges

Monday Monday....so good to me.  Monday morning is all I hoped it would be!! We sort of, I thought starting off on a positive note would help this crazy week get off to a good start!
It's October and I am in a very busy travel cycle so there is another Where in the world is Scrapguy coming!!!!!  This time I will be in London, Amsterdam, and Shanghai starting a week from Wednesday!  This coming weekend I will be in Kansas City to see my family and there just happens to be a CK Scrapbook Show!
OK on to today's project--I love how easy this one was!  Easy and cheap--just the way I like my projects!
Since Halloween is coming up, and those nasty plastic bags are so not the accessory our little monsters need to be collecting their candy in--I got this bucket at Michael's for $1!! (they also had black, green, and purple).  I used Provo Craft black vinyl for all the cuts.
The trick or treat was cut from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Cartridge (a true gem of a cartridge) at 4".  If you have never worked with vinyl, once you do--you will wonder "what was I afraid of?'  I have to say I have yet to have a bad cut when using vinyl.

The candies were cut at 3.5" off the Oct 31st seasonal mini cartridge!  How fitting, candy on a candy bucket!    I did use the transfer tape to apply all the vinyl to the bucket--I promise you it makes the entire process go so much quicker, and placement a breeze!
Since I had everything but the bucket--the project cost only $1 and took 15 minutes max!!!
Make it a great one-
