The Packable Page Pack

Friday is here and I am home--after an eventful trip I arrived home just before midnight!  Talk about long day!
Well I have a page kit to show you from Embellish It! They have an amazing site and have a ton of kits to choose from.  I love these kits because they are easy, basic, cute, and pack a punch with all of the embellishments they include.

Here I added some ribbon and inking to make it my own--I also played with the over all layout which is a great way to put your personal touch on a kit!
a littel faux stitching never hurt a layout!
These metal embellishments were included in the kit

Some other great places to find page kits are:

Two Scrappy Sisters
The Scrapbook Page
Laser Cut Designs
Scrapbook FUNaddicts

I have used kits from all of these places and they are pretty simple--all you will need is you favorite type of adhesive, a small paper cutter that will slice 12" long paper (some not all require a bit of cutting), ink for the edges (i recommend checking out Paper Trey Ink as they have two cubes that work on anything and they come as a set!)

Don't forget to leave those comments for blog candy and this Saturday is my weekend over at Everyday Cricut--make sure to stop over and check it out--I have some really cool cards to share!
Make it a great one!

  8. I don't now how you do it. I certainly wouldn't even be up yet let alone working on my blog. Love the page. Never have bought kits because I didn't feel I could add my own touch. Changing my mind.

  10. Hi Bryan,

I loved the ribbon - how did you cut the holes so evenly? Also, do can the Cricut cut a circle that big? - Very cool!

  39. I picked up a bunch of Two Scrappy Sister's kits at our local scrapbooking convention. They were very reasonable and just so adorable. They are much cuter in person than on their web page. I am going to check out your other suggestions. Thanks for sharing!

  40. Really love these kits. Amazing what you can do with a little ink and some faux stitching, lol. TFS, Mary M

  41. I have not been a fan on kits but you are convincing me that are pretty neat.

  42. You can also make up your own kits in preparation for traveling to a specific destination. Just "borrow" some of the shapes & cut ideas using your own stuff. Kits are still the best in a pinch! Tnx for the travel advice, too. I use the poly envelopes to collect memorabilia when I travel -- then it's all together when I return home instead of stuffed in all kinds of pockets. I get pics developed & add them to the envelope so it's all together & ready to scrap. Liked your cards at joy's blog, too!

  43. Glad you made it home safely. Love the metal that was included in this kit. I just love metal as embellishments.

  44. Great Los! Love the colors, the inking you including and the faux stitching...on three sides rather then 4 sides. Nice touch!

  45. Love the way you made the kit your own- and thanks for the links!

  46. I totally agree with kits when traveling ~ you have everything excepat your cutter and adhesive. Other embellishment(s), bling, etc. can be added when you get back to your craft room at home but still be productive while you are gone. Thanks for sharing, Bryan. Also the chance for your blog candy.

  48. New to the kit formats so appreciate seeing all that's in them. Thanks.

  49. I also like to add my personal touch when doing a kit. I think we all do..but I love seeing what others do when they "personalize" something. I bet they could put a dozen scrapers in a room with the same kit and no two would look alike. :) That's a good thing.

  50. Love the pages Bryan! Sometimes its great to use the page kits and your always on the run, they are probably great for you. And you can always add your special touch like you always do. TFS

  56. Great pages! Kits remind me of TV dinners- just cut, glue, and done. So easy. Just right for the busy scrapper. I think you qualify as the busy scrapper. It is wonderful that this craft can be done so many ways. digital, kits, from scratch. There is something for everyone.

  57. Nice layouts, Bryan!!! :) Maybe I can ease into scrapbooking by trying a kit first...that way I won't be so overwhelmed (I tend to do cards and the occasional memory book).

Thank you so much for sharing (I look forward to checking out the websites where they sell the kits),
