Simple card using NEW CTMH Sonoma Paper

Hi everyone--sorry there was no post yesterday but I was traveling to Canton Ohio for the weekend for all the Hall of Fame activities.  Of course I am going to work in some craft shopping (already did).  I landed in Cleveland this evening and since there is an Achievers right by the airport--you know I could not pass it up.    Low and behold across the parking lot as a BIG OL Joanna's--which had all sorts of stuff mine did not--so I got some paper (shocker) and some new punches and two new embossing folders!!! I admit I went a little hog wild--I even got a new cricut cartridge for 29.99--they had the phrases and ornamental iron 2!! since I ordered phrases this week--i picked up the other.  I will have to do a haul photo shoot as I left my flip corder at home this trip!
On to a simple card using the new CTMH Sonoma paper collection--it is very pretty!!  The mix of purple and olive with a hint of brown--very nice.  I have to admit it was not in my top three but the more I look at it and think about it the more ideas are just flooding my mind!
All the paper is CTMH, the Stamp is Pink By Design and the Pearls are CTMH colored with marker to make them green.  I added a scrap of corduroy ribbon as sort of a non-functional tab to add a little texture.  This stamp was released last month and had a ton of detail lines and if you click on the picture you will see that the embossing picked up every bit of it!
Leave those comments for the chance to win some CTMH goodness and even though there was no post I am still giving something away so leave the comments and if you tell me which PBD stamp you like the best you will be entered twice for Wednesdays candy drawing.
Make it a great one-
Bryan

  2. Hey, Bryan! I live about 15 minutes from Canton!!! Hope you have a good time at the Hall of Fame festivities! There's a nice JoAnn's in Canton, too, along with a huge Pat Catan's store. Flower Factory in Canton also has a lot of scrapbooking stuff at good prices. Enjoy your Ohio time!!!

  5. That's a great card and I love that paper. I also love that cartridge but out of my budget at the moment. I love all the stamps but Scripted Year I would use all the time.

  6. Hey Bryan, Welcome to Cleveland! You were 5 minutes from my house at the Cleveland Airport and the Archiver's is the one I shop at. The JoAnn's in Canton is even bigger I think. Happy shopping!

  7. I almost forgot...I'm not sure what PBD stands for but if it's a stamp in the new catalog, I really like the Remarkable Wreath set. I like your card!

  8. I just ordered the Sonoma paper and can't wait to get it. I think my favorite new PBD stamp is Sandy Toes....I used to live in San Diego so the sentiments make me smile and remember all the good times at the beach...
