It's Tuesday and my Monday was NUTS!!!! I have another kit from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking to share with you today--this one is perfect for the music lover or the guys in your life.
The kit is called "I Never Go Out Of Style."
I added my personal touches all over this kit! Oh, and the kits are super reasonable for around $6 you get everything you need to make the base layout--best part is you can add all sorts of things on your own to make it reflect your personal touch and style.
for the title I did my oh so often used upside down xyron trick to add glitter the "never" and "style." The words were cut in the same colors so I just added the same color glitter to keep it clean.
So the tapes, I used a product called Stamp N Foil that I found a few years back and simply LOVE!!! Check out their web page by CLICKING HERE--you are going to want to add it to you scrap bad o tricks! It is a three step process--1) stamp, 2) heat emboss with a special powder, 3) heat set foil (i use my your story) I love the fact that Out on a Limb give you a label cause we all had our mix tapes that you spent hours on taping off the radio--waiting for that song for hours. I would bet many of you still have them in a shoe box high in the closet!
You all know how much I love my cuttlebug and it adds so much to any card or layout. Here I used two different folders, one of the photo mats and the other on the headphones.
I used the cuttlebug on both sides to tie it all together.
A close up of the boom box! We all had one!!!
I used two Pink By Design Stamp Sets on the Journal box. The headphones were from LOL set! I love a good journal block--and nothing better than your personal hand writing to make it your very own.
Alright--that is all for today. Hope you have a great one and remember to leave the comments to enter for your chance at a $25 CTMH credit and the big Imagine give away--only two more weeks and that Imagine will have a new home--it's all packed and ready to ship fed ex two day to the winner!
Make it a great one-

ReplyDeleteSuch a fun layout! This really takes me back to my youth in the 80's! My favorite touch is the embossing on the boom box speakers. We all know it looked like that. Cool foiling technique and perfect for an '80s theme! Glam was so in.

This lo is great. I actually still have my boom box from 1982.
ReplyDeleteLove the LO Bryan. I am such an 80's girl and had a ton of mixed tapes my high school boyfriends made me. Got rid of all of them just last year :( Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteByran, love this cute LO! Your LO bought back many memories from my high school days...(sigh) those were the fun times!!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHaving been a teen in the 80s, I LOVE this!! We called ours ghetto blasters - and you're right that we all had one!! I'd wear out my cassettes replaying the same song over and over. What a great layout, Bryan!! The glitter is a great touch too!
ReplyDeleteSo Cute and perfect for the 80's pics! I have some 80s stickers and cutouts to use that would go nicely with this lo! Who would have thought that they would be obsolete now? Just goes to show our age. We saw computer and microwave being invented, and we lost our tapes and walkmans to MP3s!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool layout! I love all your techniques, just makes it more personal. :)
ReplyDeleteI learn so much from you! Thanks for all the ideas. Neat layout, too!
ReplyDeleteWow, I say this layout on another site I watch, but you have really made this one your own! I love the details you put into it; the textures and the bling. Thanks for sharing the upside down xyron trick, I finally got to try it the other day and it is genius!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa
