Hello everyone--it's been a hot minute since I was able to share. My job has kept me going to and frow here and there and just about everywhere. Logged 25K miles in the are this past month!
Well today I have a layout built for MOM! In honor of Mother's Day I did this since I was not able to be with my mom this weekend--before you judge (LOL) I was with her last weekend and she is coming to Dallas at the end of the month for the Great American Scrapbook Convention so we will get to spend time twice in one month!
Ok on to the layout:
This single page 12x12 layout was a lot of fun to make. I used kraft paper as the base and lots of fun bright colors .
I used my Cricut to cut out the letters to spell mom--sent them upside down through the xyron and added prism glitter for a little bling. I think technique and heat embossing are my two fav things to do.
My photo mat is off centered so you can see the fun ditsy floral pattern. I also cuttlebugged the solid pink to just add texture.
I used a few different double sided pattern papers and solid colors and just layered them up at the top and bottom of the page to frame it out. I used a few border punches to add a bit of BAMM here and there.
Here is the bottom of the layout. I added some chambray pleated ribbon from Maya Road--I love this stuff. Here is a better pic of the ribbon.
I also bought it in red and would love to find it in yellow!
OK--since I have been gone for so long I want to say thanks to all my loyal followers. Everyday this week I will be giving away a Close to My Heart D size stamp set. all winners will be announced on Saturday. Every day will have its own winner and you have till Friday at Midnight to enter by commenting on every days post! Pretty easy right!
I am so glad to be home for a bit and back with you all--
Make it a great one-

ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I don't know how you do it with all that travel...! Thanks for the layout.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's hard to craft when you don't know if you are coming or going, right? I, too, love those two techniques, heat embossing and Xyroning the front to place adhesive on it. So little effort for such a big bang! Thanks for sharing all that you do.

Glad you get to spend time with your Mom this month. I'm sure you're glad to be back home
ReplyDeleteGreat LO and so glad to see I am not the only one that designs them to put pictures on later. My friends all think I am weird because I do that, but for me its all about the page first then find pictures to fit later LOL. Much like picking out the shoes first and the dress later. Welcome back and looking forward to see what you creat for us this week
ReplyDeleteSuper cute layout, Bryan! It's nice to see you are back with us for a while, and sharing some more ideas. Have a wonderful time with your Mom at the Scrapbook weekend. BethAnn M.
ReplyDeletescrapguy --- glad to see you back in action. I had been wondering where you went --- sometimes we have to work for a living just to be able to afford our crafting supplies. i wish i had more time to scrap as well. someday............
