Birthday Card using Cricut Paisley Cartridge

Happy Thursday--boy for a short week it is really kickin me!  Today I want to share a simple birthday card that I made for a lady at work.
All the pattern paper is SEI Juliette which I think is simply beautiful!
I cut the flower shadow at 2 1/2, 2, 1 3/4 and layered up.
The center of the flower is a vintage button in a smokey grey color.  The button has a shank back so I punched a small hole in the center of the flower, applied a couple glue dots to the under side of the button, placed through the hole and used pop dots which allowed for the shank in the back--I love it when a 'plan' comes together!
On the inside I  finished both sides, stamped Happy Birthday and added a little bling!

There were a lot of people who needed to sign this card so I finished both sides to allow space.  Finished card is standard A2!
I have another simple card for Friday.
Update on the BIRTHDAY BOOK--since I have to give it to my best friend on Friday thought I would give you a progress report.  I have all the layouts complete and pictures attached (except three that I have to re size) all I have left are the journal entries!  It only took a year but it looks great--I will share all of the layouts with you next week (would hate to kill the surprise of the book)!
Make it a great one!

  7. Love the card, I usually cut off the shanks on the back of the buttons. It would be to easy to put a hole in the flowers, probably why I didn't think of that (ha ha). Suz

I hear you on the short week! It's so nice having the time off, but it does feel like you have to fit the same amount into a shorter work week...thank God it's the weekend!
