You used Cricut Pagoda on that card??????

Well--it's Monday once again and I am now in Delhi--on my way to the home of Gandhi for the day. So while I am away I have been featuring the Cricut Pagoda Cartridge and some of the Asian bundle Cuddlebug folders. Today's card may suprise you but I used both of them here as well--
I used the beautiful papers for SEI (Claire collection) on this one. I took that mocha steel shimmer solid and used the Blossoms embossing folder for one of the background layers. I used the same solid shimmer paper in a pink tone (double sided with two colors) and a bit of glimmer white to cute the cherry blossom bundle out in all three layers--blackout, shadow, and regular. Once I had them layered I used Viva glitter glue in the flower centers. The sentiment is also from the collection of chipboard pcs. This card does not open, so I call it my postcard style. Here are some pictures.

Have a great one-

Kimono Gate Fold Card Using Cricut Pagoda

Greetings from Jakarta, Today's card is a gate fold Asia theme. I used one of the kimono cuts from the Pagoda Cartridge as well as the origami paper for the under layer. I used the Asian Cuddlebug folder Screen to emboss the yellow panels and added some printed ribbon to keep the card tied closed

Night Market in Hong Kong...using Pagoda and Street Signs

Welcome to Wednesday--today I have a layout to share.
If you ever get to Hong Kong--you must got to Stanley Market, Ladies Market, Jade Market, and the Night Market for some shopping--It's a little crazy but tons of fun--
In this simple layout I used Cricut Pagoda for the lamps--combined solid card stock with some cotton paper and oragami paper to give it that true asian touch. I used Cricut Street Signs for the letters. I also sprayed the base with walnut ink for a 'street' feel.

A little Asian Doll using Cricut Pagods

Good Monday to you all. I am getting ready to head to bed as you all in the USA are getting up. My internal clock is all out of wack and I have a feeling it will be for the entire month of April. Got to pay the bill--Right!
Today I am kicking off my two week Asian, one week NYC business trip with a simple card using Pagoda and origami paper. I tried cutting the origami paper with the Cricut with little to NO success--so you may have to use the old fashioned way if you want to use it! I simply sliced a bit off the bottom and applied a strip of pattern paper to the bottom edge. On the doll I added a few black pearls and stitching for definition. For the black background I used one of the textured Cuddlebug Folders from the Asian bundle.

April Calendar using Cricut Easter and Cricut Designer Calendar

It’s Good Friday and I hope your Easter weekend will be filled with Family and Friends. If you have been following my blog for the past couple of months, you know I do a calendar as my first post of each month. This month I wanted to show that when you detail you die cuts it makes the world of difference.

Photobucket

I used chalk inks, glimmer mist, fine tip markers, and a couple of felt butterflies. I am a firm believer of a heavy hand in inking—I love the highs and lows you get. I layered two colors of green for the grass and placed the rabbit behind and used a brand for the rabbit’s eye. I cut the Easter egg with two colors. For the yellow layer I also used yellow glimmer mist to give it a little shimmer!

Come back next week to see the projects I made with and Asian Flair—since I am overseas I thought this was a great opportunity to showcase Cricut Pagoda and the Asian Cuttlebug Bundle.

Hope you have a Happy Easter!

Bryan,

Thanks for sharing your creations! It's so refreshing to see scrapbooking and cardmaking from a male point of view! I like the sanding idea too, gives it such a unique look. I, too, haven't paid much attention to the songbird cartridge, but after your cards and tips, I'm thinking this is one I might need to add to my collection! Thanks for your hard work, the cards are fantastic!

A Big Thank You....using Cricut Songbird and a Gypsy cut file

Wow! This week is going to be crazy--as I am leaving on a business trip to Asia on Aprils Fools Day! Before the worry of the week distracts me--I wanted to send a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who left comments this weekend on Everyday Cricut and here on my blog! The response was overwhelming and more than I ever thought! I have read every comment (over 700 in all) and have taken notes of some requests for more VIDEOS!!! I hear ya and promise that in the coming weeks I will address this request!

So here is your thank you!

I used the same top note card I posted a cut file for on Saturday! This time it is much more casual!
I used Core’dinations card stock for the solid aqua blue and My Mind’s Eye pattern paper (a multi color stripe and an orange polka dot). I stamped THANKS using this month’s exclusive set of stamps from Close to My Heart (so glad they showed up on Friday!) and a button with Jillibean Soup wooly twine in chocolate!
Again Thanks a Million for the words of support and encouragement! I am so excited to be sharing with all of you! Come back on Wednesday to see haul video from Two Peas in a Bucket!

See you Wednesday!
