A Challenge switch up.......

Happy Friday!  I am on my way to NYC on business--next week will be CRAZY with back to back to back meetings!  I have been madly working ahead so I have posts ready for next week--and there are FOUR projects to share.
I have a challenge for you!  I challenge you to challenge me!  All you have to do is leave a comment with some type of challenge It may be using a color combo or a specific theme.  What about a challenge based on a cartridge or a specific type of cut.  How about one that challenges me to use a certain embellishment!  You can also challenge me use something from one of my recent haul videos. You can even send me a photo to scrap or a specific type of card!  Not only will this help me have projects to share but it will also get my creative juices flowing and I love a good challenge-- I am excited to see what you all challenge me to do and I hope I am up for it!  I would hate to disappoint.
Depending on the number of challenges comments posted I may just do a whole week of challenges or we may need to spread them out! Either way I will make sure to address each one of them!

I also have a few tricks up my sleeve as next week is not only a big week for work but a big week for me!
Get ready for some blog candy!

Challenge away!

  1. Oh Gosh! Sounds like a super busy busy week for you!! How about doing a card that is an odd shape, any odd shape, do it in yellow, purple and a patterned print that is kinda wild and they are all a different size and shape. Use any cartridge. :)

  4. You sound busy. Hope you get a break to have some fun (you know, shopping) while you are in NYC. I live vicariously through your shopping hauls;) I challenge you to use 3 to 4 older Cricut carts, nothing released this year, on any type project. I would like to see some of the older carts being used because it takes me a while to get the new ones and I like to find new ways to use what I have.

  6. Busy, busy!!! My challenge for you is what I challenged myself to do today. I noticed that my projects are all starting to look similar because I gravitate to the same color pallet all the time! So, the challenge is, make a project using colors you NEVER use! For me, it was brown, gold and peach--warm colors. I'm a cool color kinda girl!! For you, it might be to use pink or purple. Whatever colors challenge you!! OK. Get busy!! haha

    Hugs!

  7. A card of a different shape - can't be square, rectangular or circular.

How about, brown, blue and pink for color choices.

  8. I challenge you to make a card welcoming a "daughter-in-law to be" into the family. Something fun and it doesn't have to be overly serious but one that will let her know she is loved. Any colors will work.
Have fun in NYC. Wish I could be there and have a slice of cheesecake from Carnegie Deli. YUMMY!!!

  20. Hey Bryan!, I wonder what you do for a living flying all over the world all the time?...
I have 3 boys and would love to see you use the Cricut Lite Dude cartridge - we wake board, motorcycle, ski, bike, surf (or try to :~) - any of these activities would be great!

  21. Hi Bryan,
I don't know how you will find the time for a challenge with all your traveling. I have a challenge for you, its not a card or layout. Id like to see you make a village using Winter Woodland ( it doesnt have to be Christmas). You can make it as big or fancy as you want but .........maybe you could use paper dolls for people or anything else you would like. A video would be great!!!

  22. Hi Bryan! Just getting to your blog here on Sunday morning as it's been a weekend of baseball and softball games for my two kids. I love some of the ideas about a different shape card and also the ones about using an older cartridge. I've been challenging myself on that one lately and I love what I've been finding on my old carts! Hope you have a good week!

  23. Hi Bryan! Hope you enjoy your week of craziness in NYC! Here is my challenge for you. I challenge you to make something for your Canadian neighbours like me! It could be a card, layout, whatever you choose but it has to have a Canadian flavour to it. July 1st is when we celebrate Canada Day and that's coming up fast! Good luck!!

  24. Bryan since you're heading for NYC why not use the Statue of Liberty on the Fourth of July Seasonal Cart and make a LO not using the traditional Red, White and Blue. Thanks for the challenge this is going to be fun to see what talented things you come up with.

  25. i would love to use my cricut to do a full wall decoration for my grandchild. a tree that is maybe 6 feet tall and goes around the corner of a room so i could put animals on the wall in her room. but this would require piecing and i just can't figure it out.

  26. Bryan,
I think about the travels that you do and think to myself how you must feel when you get back home to Texas. I would like to challenge you to do a card with the theme of "Home Sweet Home, or Their Is No Place like home. I just got a cart called Destinations. It has so many things in it. This would be a perfect fit for you I think.

  29. Hi Bryan,

Hope you're enjoying New York! :)

I typed you a long comment on my cell phone during my 6 hour ride to San Diego Friday night & it never posted! :(

My challenge to you was to come up with an invitation, decorations, party favors and possibly thank you notes for a baby shower we're giving August 7th. What makes it super challenging is that my brother & his wife are having twins: a boy and a girl! Also, they don't have a theme (if they were decorating their room in say a jungle theme, we could use that for the party). My sisters & I (who are giving the shower) thought it would be nice to do pink & brown and light blue & brown (we love those color combinations & they're so trendy right now). But how do we do that all on one invitation?

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

    Thank you so much,

    Jennifer

    P.S.
I don't have any of the cartridges that make you think of a baby, like New Arrival or B is for Boy or Sugar & Spice. I do have the Potpourri Cartridge, Nursery Rhymes, Mother's Day (has a baby stroller) and a Child's Year, though.
