What's up Peeps!

Hey my peeps--what's going on.  I am so sorry my job had taken over ever minute of my life the last few weeks but I was needing a crafting fix so I made a card this evening when I got home well after the Voice was on and over (a bit bitter about this).
So this fun Easter card is actually a thank you card--I know I know--long story I will get to shortly.
I did a four mat stack with the turq solid embossed with the cuttlebug and the top white is where I stamped. The middle bunny I added glitter using my xyron technique I always talk about.
Here is a close up of the layers--I love taking two colors and using them to really pop--simple but packs a punch.
So here is the stamped images--all from CTMH and the same stamp set.  I did a little three 3D here in a new sort of way.  No pop dots!  I know crazy--but I did use one of my must haves from the new CTMH catalogue called Adhesive Springs (Z1725)
So here is a side view--the springs are about a 3/4" long and 3/4" round--I have so many ideas for these--I think I have purchased like 50 sets--hoarder much!
I added a few scraps to the inside to pull it all together.  Before I forget let me tell you about the envelope.
I simply love this egg stamp and had to use it so I added it to the envelope--yet one more way to tie it all  together.
Products used:
Daisy White Card Stock from CTMH
Lagoon Card stock and ink from CTMH
My Peeps Stamp Set (B1402 $9.95) from CTMH
Adhesive Springs (Z1725  $2.95 set of 6) from CTMH
Pattern Paper from Lilybee Designs Buttercup collection (love love love this collection)

OK on to the long story.  Well the other day a co-worker gave my staff chocolate bunnies (an who does not love a chocolate bunny) well there was not one on my desk so I jokingly was like why did I not get one.  The next day I got a big bunny on my desk--I thought it was funny but did not know who had done it.  Well I had a business trip to Little Rock and Friday morning I got a text with the below-
My response to the image was "somebunny's got jokes!!!"  I laughed about this for a good 20 minutes!

Alright enough for today--there is more to come this week and after the holiday we should be back on track!

Where in the World..................

Well it's Monday and I am just getting connected to the Internet on this trip overseas--Being budget aware I picked a few new hotels to stay in and well--not all of them have Internet let alone WIFI.  I am currently in Milan! The food is great, weather is cool, and the history is rich.  Here are a few pics of the DOMO.  This is less than a half block from my hotel--so my location is good but the Internet not!  I have to say I was a little taken back when the walls of the entire hotel are covered in fabric--Crazy I know

There is some restoration going on and not even the DOMO can escape advertising!

So I am off to Spain on Tuesday for a couple of days than round it out in London!  There are more pics to come but wanted to make sure to remind you all to leave those comments for the weekly give away.

Fun Fold Friday

It's Fun Fold Friday and the last post before the big Cricut Imagine drawing!!  Exciting if I do say so myself.
Today I have a simple gate fold the one below is using the Pagoda Cartridge and some origami papers (the floral pattern).
Gate folds are very easy to make!

First you decide what size you want to make the base.  Say you want to make a 6x6 gate fold--you will to start with a strip of paper that is 6" wide by 12" long.  To form the gates you will score at 3" and at 9".  Pretty simple right--so what ever your base is add half to each end and you have it made.

You can close it with ribbon, a big die cut, a spellbinders cut or a stamped image on paper you attach to the front.  This one I used a square of white paper and added a die cut on top. I also added some ribbon but that is not needed.

I always like to finish off the inside of my cards so here I did multiple layers and some edge inking.  As soon as I get back from Europe I am going to work on videos for each of the fun folds I do.  I know some of y'all like to see it done and trust me this one is super simple--anyone can do it.
Remember to leave those comments and we will see you back here Monday for the big Imagine giveaway!

Persoanlised Stationary

It's Thursday, the First of March and it is hot in Dallas--I am talking almost air conditioner warm--I will not complain as it could be so much worse.
Today I have a quick project I think everyone could use.  I love personalised stationary--high quality paper in great colors.  The kind where ink just sits on top of the paper.  Well I have been tossing the idea around and this is my first attempt
This is a simple kraft card and envelope.  You all know how much I love heat embossing and I wanted something simple--while having a wow factor.
This stamp is from CTMH and is called Super Powers (C1485)   I love this city skyline.
I used versa mark ink and black CTMH embossing powder.
I used a simple W stamp for the monogram on the envelope.  To get that super gloss effect you heat emboss once, cover in powder again, then heat a second time--you get super coverage and a nice wet glossy look.

So we only have until Sunday at midnight to leave comments for the weekly give away (this week its a Rock the Block package from CTMH) and of course the Cricut Imagine give away winner to announced Monday the 5th!  It is all ready for it's new home, the shipping slip is filled out and all I have to do is finish with the address and take it to Fed Ex.

Friday is Fun Fold Friday--I will have another fun fold for you to put in your crafting back pocket!  Next Monday, along with the winners, I am going to announce the new line up for ScrapGuy--you all have given great feed back and have really helped me refine this blog---Thanks so much--y'all are awesome!
Make it a great one-
